7月19日、駐日チェコ共和国大使館内にあるチェコセンター東京支局を訪問しました。
この日のために、約2か月間、子供たちはチェコの音楽やダンス、食文化や言葉などを学習してきました。
当日は、センター長のエヴァさんやヤクブさん、スタッフの方々の暖かい歓迎を受け、これまで学習してきた成果を披露してきました。

また、チェコの国民的コミックキャラクターである「ありのフェルダ」の作者、オンドジェイ・セコラの生誕120周年を記念して開催されていた展示会やチェコの代表的お菓子「トゥルデルニーク」を子供たちは楽しみ、大満足の1日でした！
The Head of the Czech Centre Tokyo, Ms. Eva Takamine and Mr. Jakub Valek and Ms. Fujii warmly welcomed us. They gave a presentation about Czech’s music, food, culture, and language. As SOMOS’s children had studied Czech for the past two months, the children enjoyed the presentation a lot.
The Czech Centre Tokyo is holding an exhibition of Ondrej Sekora, who is known as the author of famous children’s books, “Ferda Mravenec”. The children were very excited to see the many original pictures, books, and marionettes.
After the presentation, children had a coloring workshop of “Ferda Mravenec” and then ate “Trdelnik” together with the people from the Embassy. It is a very popular Czech cake and the children enjoyed it a lot.
The highlight of the event was the children’s performance. They sang in Czech and danced traditional Czech dance.
The children practiced a lot for this day.
In the end, the children danced with Ms. Takamine and Mr. Valek together and had a great time!
