At Beyondia International School Meguro, our K3 students officially began their Programming Lessons this October. Using the ROBODONE curriculum, children take on the challenge of programming entirely in English. Through hands-on activities—assembling, programming, and operating real robots—students naturally build key skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
Annual Learning Plan
October: Robot assembly & basics
November: Robot improvements, presentations, and mathematical connections
December: Using sensors
January: Control, color, and light
February: Robots & AI in everyday life
March: Review & reflection
Throughout the lessons, students experience many moments of discovery, such as:
It didn’t move the way I expected, but when I adjusted it, it worked!
At the end of each session, students give a presentation to share what they learned. For example:
My robot didn’t move straight, so I adjusted the direction of the wheels.
The robot moved too fast to stop, so I changed the speed.
By expressing their ideas in their own words, students gain a sense of achievement—“It was difficult, but I figured it out!”—while also learning from the creative ideas of their classmates.

Continuing Learning Beyond Graduation
After graduating from kindergarten, students can continue programming through our Afterschool Program, allowing them to further develop the skills and confidence they gained in K3.
Through playful, hands-on learning, children strengthen their ability to think independently and collaborate with others. These skills will continue to support them not only in elementary school academics and daily life, but also as they take on new challenges in the future.
