Orca 3 (K3) Class | Visit to the Canadian Embassy

We would like to sincerely thank the Canadian Embassy for kindly inviting us.
On December 10, the children of the Orca 3 class were able to enjoy a truly special and creativity-filled day.

During the visit, the children participated in a picture book read-aloud session of Aggie and the Ghost by author and illustrator Matthew Forsythe.
The story portrays the meeting between a playful yet slightly shy ghost and a young girl named Aggie. Although they are initially startled by each other, they gradually come to understand one another. Through their growing friendship, the story gently conveys the importance of kindness and of taking the time to truly get to know others.

With its humorous storyline and warm, approachable illustrations, the book immediately captured the children’s attention, drawing them deeply into its world.

Following the reading, the children took part in an art workshop led by Mr. Forsythe himself.
They learned how to draw the main character, Aggie, and how to think about backgrounds by using basic shapes as a foundation. The children then tried drawing on their own, each expressing the story in their own unique way while imagining the world of the book.

Through this experience, the children were able to feel the world of picture books and discover the joy of expressing themselves through art.

We are deeply grateful for this unforgettable learning experience through books and art.
Once again, thank you very much for providing such a wonderful opportunity.
