Beyondia International School Meguro Becomes an Official IB World School

Since the 2021 academic year, Beyondia International School Meguro has been working as a candidate school for the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are delighted to announce that as of January 2025, we have officially been authorized as an IB World School.
What’s an IB World School?

Our journey with the IB began in 2020 when we first knocked on its doors. In the early stages, we navigated through uncharted waters, learning and collaborating together. In September 2021, we commenced operations as a candidate school.

While no major changes to the program were made during the candidacy period, we continuously reflected on our teaching practices, asking questions like, “Is this the best approach?” or “Would a different method work better for this child?” These ongoing efforts to refine our methods have been central to our progress.

The current 5-year-old class is the first cohort to have experienced three full years of the IB-PYP curriculum at our school. Like their predecessors, these children are developing the ability to express their own thoughts, recognize differences among individuals, and work toward resolving them.

We have received heartwarming feedback from parents, such as, “Since the introduction of the IB curriculum, my child has become deeply engaged in the things they find interesting.”

As we step into this new chapter as an IB World School, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our parents for their understanding and unwavering support. Together, we will continue to learn and grow as a team, supporting the development of every child.

Thank you for your continued support of Beyondia International School Meguro.

Sincerely,
Asuka Sekine
Principal
